The first bike
A long time has passed since Alibrando and Bruno Duranti, encouraged by their beloved father Nello, person of great humanity and funny customer’s entertainer, decided in 1957 to turn the old family garage in a bicycle and motorcycle shop with a small workshop. Soon the shop became a lively rendez-vous for sportsmen, bike and motorbike enthusiasts. Alibrando’s creativity expressed itself in the assembling of amateur’s road bikes. “I sold my first bike with the Duranti brand for 250.000 Lires”, remembers Alibrando with nostalgia.
Duranti followed the evolution of the market and always tried to give its customer the best brands.
During the ‘70s arrived the “ladies” of cycling: the prestigious Bianchi and Colnago.

“In our philosophy”, says Fausto Duranti marketing and sales manager, “there was always the selection of leading products”. That is why in 1988 we wanted to add Specialized, leader in the MTB range, into our offer. Duranti always chooses the best and winning brands in the market.
The passion in our business brought us to be more and more involved in organizing sport events.
We all remember the “Marconi Circuit” which Duranti started organizing in the ‘70s. Our evolution got us to participate in all sorts of national and international events.

Duranti cycling team
We always supported cycling lovers: we gave birth to two teams, one for amateurs and the other for MTB. In our family we uphold “Team Cicli Duranti”, which participates in all of the major FCI races. As a sponsor partner, we support two teams: “Ciclo Rapida” from Foligno and “MTB Club” from Spoleto. A commitment which stretches to other technical partnerships such as the one with the children’s team “Pedale Spoletino”.
We are always ready to accept new and enthusiastic challenges, wherever they may be.
